The Hallmark Healthcare group was first launched in 1997 by Avnish Goyal, Chairman, with the acquisition of a 44-bed care home in south Wales.

Hallmark has grown to become a leading care provider in the private sector with a portfolio of 1,500 operational beds in 25 care homes across England and Wales.

Investment

The company has launched a £300m investment programme, which is being driven from Hallmark’s headquarters in Essex.  The expansion strategy is twofold, focusing on the acquisition of good quality homes as well as a new build programme. Hallmark is looking for development sites throughout England and Wales, with a particular focus on the south and south east of England. Some of the features we have in our newer homes include an in-house cinema, shop, hair and beauty salon, airconditioning and advanced sprinkler systems. All our new homes are built to exceed the minimum requirements set down by the Care Standards Agency.

Relationships

Hallmark is keen to build relationships with developers and house builders. Often on larger sites the planners look favourably on a care home development as this satisfies the section 106 requirements.
