The manager of a Carmarthen care home has been
awarded one of the most sought after accolades in the care
sector having been recognised as Home Manager of the Year
at the National Care Awards 2007.
Adele Williams of Hallmark Healthcare’s Cartref Annwyl
Fan Care Home in Betws was shortlisted alongside some of
her most respected peers for the title.

As part of the process, Adele was interviewed by a panel
of independent judges who quizzed her on the role of an
effective home manager. She was presented with the award
by TV personality Esther Rantzen at a glittering ceremony
in London on Saturday.
Adele said: “We had a wonderful evening and I’m
absolutely thrilled to bring this award home to Wales.”
She added: “I have a fabulous team of committed staff
and this award is as much for them at it is for me. All
of us at Cartref Annwyl Fan know that here excellence is
the norm, not the exception. This award is proof of our
dedication.”

Cherry Tree Care Home in Caldicot, received Best Nurse of
