CARE HOME RAISES £200 FOR CHARITY
A Kings Lynn care home has managed to
raise £200 for the Alzheimers Society as part of Alzheimers
Awareness Week.
Amberley
Hall care home organised and held a seminar
to encourage people to understand more about Alzheimers and
Dementia and how to deal with people living with the
two conditions.
The care home has recently launched a new initiative to stimulate
communication among the elderly and people living with dementia
called ‘Let’s Get Talking’.
The initiative suggests a different topic of conversation for
everyday of the year. The topics are designed to help spark memories
and create a feeling of well being amongst residents as they discuss
familiar and reassuring topics with other residents, family members,
visitors and the Hallmark Healthcare care team.
This week Anne Biggar from The Alzheimers Society came to collect
the cheque from Hallmark Healthcare from the money raised during
the day.
