This year's Hug Day In pictures

Hundreds of residents, relatives and staff across England and Wales got together for a giant hug in may as we celebrated our annual Hug Day.

Hallmark’s Hug Day has become one of the most important days in the Hallmark calendar for the residents, relatives, staff and local communities, within the Hallmark family. Months are spent planning the day and here’s how we celebrated this year:

Wales

• Ashgrove had a teddy bears picnic day
• Ashleigh Court had a 1940s themed day
• Broughton Hall held a heavenly day
• Bryn Celyn held a family and friends dog show
• Cartref Annwyl Fan had a “help us go green” day
• Cherry Tree had a version of the Hard Rock Café called Cherry Pips Café
• Cwrt Enfys had a seaside themed day
• Greenhill Manor adopted a Disney themed day
• The Hollies held a Wild West themed day
• Plas Rhosnesni had a fancy dressed themed day
• Regency House had a Wild West themed day
• Shire Hall had a multi-cultural day
• Ty Enfys held a “uniting generations” day

England

• Amberley Hall had a swinging sixties day
• Apple Court had a gansters and molls themed day
• Barnfield Manor & Holmewood Manor adopted a Disney themed day
• Church View had a swinging sixties day
• Delves Court had a “foody” themed day
• Forest Manor had a rock ‘n’ roll themed day
• Goodwins Hall had an East End themed day
• Kirkby Manor had an old time music hall themed day
• Springfield Park had a swinging sixties day
• Tuxford Manor held a World War II themed tea dance
