a hairy red nose day for hallmark

Avnish Goyal, of Hallmark Healthcare, grew a goatee beard especially for Red Nose Day on Friday 16 March and then went on to dye both his hair and beard red in aid of Comic Relief.

The transformation was one of the highlights of two weeks of company fundraising for the charity. Managing Director Ram Goyal also had his legs waxed to help raise money.

Other events at Hallmark over their 10-day fundraising spectacular included:

• A prize draw to win a day at a local health spa and evening at a local wine bar (with £150 to spend)
• A 'deal or no deal' game with prizes from local companies
• The HH Car Wash – staff washing each others’ cars in the lunch hour 
• The Posh Nosh Lunch – the head office team feasted for the price of £2 per person
• The Brains of Hallmark Quiz – A general knowledge quiz
• A Red Nose Day sweepstake
• A dress down day – with everyone wearing red

Naomi Perry, PA to Avnish Goyal, has been instrumental in the organisation of the fundraising. She said: “We knew we wanted to do something special this year for Comic Relief and so we’ve pulled out all the stops. We hope to make a lot of money and have fun at the same time.”
