Healthcare has officially started 12 months of celebrations, marking
10 years as a care provider with the opening of its flagship home
in Wales – Ty Enfys.
Ty Enfys – which is Welsh for Rainbow House – was
launched in Cardiff after three years in the planning.
It is the latest new build home in Hallmark Healthcare’s
multi-million pound investment programme, which will increase
the company’s bed capacity by 1,000 beds annually. The target
is that by 2010, the Hallmark group will operate 5,000 beds in
around 80 care homes.
Around 100 VIPs – including the Lord Mayor of the City
and County of Cardiff Cllr Gareth Neale – joined managing
director Avnish Goyal and his team at Ty Enfys to enjoy a tour
of the new home.
Avnish said: “Twelve months ago, we saw the year in with
the opening of Amberley Hall in King’s Lynn which went on
to win best designed care home at the Pinders Healthcare Awards.
“To be here once again at the start of a new year with
the successful completion of such a prestigious project is a real
pleasure, made even more special by the fact that we are now celebrating
10 years in business.”
Hallmark Healthcare was founded by the Goyal brothers in 1997
with the opening of The Hollies Care Home in Pontypridd. Ten years
later, the group operates 22 care homes across England and Wales
and has been recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the 100
Best Companies To Work For.
For Avnish Goyal, being back in South Wales to mark the 10-year
anniversary is particularly special. He said: “Ty Enfys
is the first of three new build projects that we will launch in
the region this year and so we are looking forward to a very successful
and memorable anniversary.”
Features of Ty Enfys include an in-house cinema primarily for
reminiscence therapy; spacious hotel-like reception areas; large
deluxe en-suite bedrooms; sensory gardens; a shop; a hairdressing
salon and luxury lounges.
